Contract and Prices
This purebred Alaskan malamute puppy is sold at the price of $______.00 (Cdn).
The breeder is to be allowed access to a male pup (standing at stud) after required health testing to approved
bitches, either co-owned or owned by the breeder.
THE BREEDER WARRANTS THE FOLLOWING
1. The puppy will be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club under the livestock Pedigree Act of 1948 and the
registration certificate provided to the new owner at no cost to the new owner. The CKC Registration papers will be provided when the Canadian Kennel Club makes them available.
2. This puppy is purebred, registered and is the offspring of a Champion Sire or Dame who have been
certified to be free of hip dysplasia and any hereditary eye disorders.
3. The puppy is warranted to be in good health and free of communicable diseases at the time of deliver to its new owner. The puppy is believed to be free of inheritable genetic diseases and have a good sound temperament. Please take this puppy to your Vet within the first week and if he/she should find this puppy not in good health and provide you with a letter outlining the same, then reimbursement will be made of the full purchase price. If this puppy has hip dysplasia either being borderline or mild, I will refund half the price of this puppy. This pup shall be spayed or neutered and not be used for breeding stock. If this puppy has severe hip dysplasia, I will replace the pup with another pup from a later litter, and said the puppy with hip dysplasia be put down. I do not guarantee my puppies if they have environmental hip dysplasia, due to over weight and over working as a young dog. All pups must be tested at the age of 18 months to 2.5 yars old for hip dysplasia. After this age I do no guarantee the puppy. Proof of hip dysplasia by a Veterinarian certificate must be produced before I honor my
contract. If this pup develops cataracts this puppy is to be spayed or neutered and not to be used for breeding.
4. This puppy is being sold on a Non-Breeding Contract, which is a protection for this puppy from untimely
breeding, to maintain the high quality, and in sure excellent temperament in the breed. This in no way reflect negatively upon the puppy, even my best are sold on this basis. The breeding rights to this puppy shall jointly rest with the breeder and is only to be undertaken by mutual agreement. When this puppy has been cleared of hip dysplasia and its eyes have been tested clear, and it clearly fits the CKC standard, then I will lift the non breeding contract to a breeding contract.
5. This Puppy has been routinely de-wormed and has been provided with first shots, tattooed, and a valid health certificate signed by my Vet will be included.
THE NEW OWNER AGREES AS FOLLOWED
1. To provide that the puppy will never be chained, staked, or left to run at large on the streets no matter how
well trained its owner feels it is. This puppy will have a securely fenced area in which it may exercise freely
(within reason).
2. To provide this puppy with regular annual inoculations and required boosters as required maintaining its good
health.
3. If this puppy was sold as pet stock then this animal will be spayed or neutered by the age of 8 months (to be
agreed with the breeder). Please provide the breeder with a copy of the vets certificate proving it has been done.
If this puppy has been sold with show potential, the breeder will help you all they can on how to train and
groom your malamute.
4.If the purchaser is unable to keep the puppy for any reason, then the breeder will accept the return of the
puppy. The breeder will always have the right of first refusal should the purchaser be unable to keep the
puppy/dog and a new owner is required.
5. To provide the puppy with puppy kindergarten, beginners obedience classes or confirmation classes to teach
the puppy to be a well manners member of the dog society. This puppy will be well socialized with other animals
(to the best of the new owners ability) and have as much exposure to as many situations as possible. This makes
for a well rounded social animal this is comfortable around both people and dogs.
6. If it is agreed between the parties that this puppy is for show/breeding, then the breeder will provide her
expertise in handling and assistance with grooming. The breeder will show the owners dog if the owner pays for
all show costs and it is convenient for the breeder.
7.Under no circumstances is this dog to be bred to a wolf/wolf hybrid, or any other mixed breed dog. This dog
must be bred (if at all) to another registered purebred Alaskan Malamute. Before the owner is even allowed to
think of breeding their dog, they must ask the breeder first.
IF THE BREEDER DISCOVERS THAT THIS PUPPY HAS BEEN NEGLECTED EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY, OR
PHYSICALLY, THE BREEDER RETAINS THE RIGHT TO REPOSES THE DOG/BITCH AND NOT TO REFUND THE
PURCHASE PRICE, AND TAKE WHATEVER LEGAL ACTION IS APPROPRIATE.
